Materials: Beech

These wooden darning discs are ideal for visible mending on clothes. Often used as an alternative to a darning mushroom, they're the perfect way to repair holes in your socks, jumpers, sweaters and jeans.
Made from sustainably grown Beech, they feature a gently domed top and a groove around the edge to use with an elastic band (not included). This enables the fabric to be held taut whilst you're mending!
These really are the ideal addition to your sewing box and, as my discs are sent wrapped, would also make the perfect gift 👍

I make these in two sizes, standard and large. The standard discs measure approximately 68mm (2 5/8") across, the large approximately 86mm (3 3/8"). They've all been sanded smooth but left without a wax finish (as this aids grip on the fabric).
